Broadband

HORRAY. WE HAVE BROADBAND!!!! I feel we have, at last, joined the 21st century. It took a bit of setting up, the people at xtra said we had to have the line checked but when the guy came out he said that was rubbish as we are within 5.5km of the exchange (doesn't 'exchange' sound so quaint!). I also had to phone this evening to find out how to reconfigure our accounts so that the pooter doesn't keep trying to dial up. Anyway, it now works and is sooooo much better.

Had a day teaching in Hamilton and R+R came for supper. Eric cooked a nice pork with cream and apple and we had scrummy bread and butter pudding with apricot brandy as well as rhubarb crumble. From the garden came; the brocolli, broad beans, rhubarb oh and the pork of course. R+R had kindly had the girls for the morning and will do so again on Friday as we were both working. After H and A did their chores today Eric collected Sarah and Katherine to bring them here. I came home to find all the girls swimming 'skinny' (tannerspeak for naked) and thought of how Carol would be horrified at all the nudity! They were having a ball!
